This Ashdown ABM-600-EVO IV bass amp head is part of the new EVO generation. Previous EVO models were so popular with professional bass players that Ashdown decided to continue the development of new models based on that successful formula. When your bass guitar signal enters the amp head, it's immediately treated to a top-of-the-line preamp. The brand's well-known VU meter is there in all its glory too so bassists can easily find their instrument's sweet spot. This Ashdown ABM-600-EVO IV is the artist's choice.
Ashdown ABM-600-EVO IV bass amp head features
Your bass signal follows a path to a 9-band equalizer which offers three rotary knobs for bass/mid/treble and two sets of three sliders in between. You may remember there were only two on the EVO III. This improved EQ is more comprehensive than ever and offers a plethora of possibilities for experienced Ashdown fans. Connect an optional foot pedal to turn the equalizer on or off and voilà! You've got hands-free control! Ashdown's Variable Valve Drive has been revamped as well, which gives the 12AX7 tube more signal than ever before. Whether you're looking for a clean sound or a big, fat overdrive, this amp head will deliver.
The good bits
The previous EVO models were popular due to some very good features, and Ashdown was clever enough to implement those features into the EVO IV too. The DI output, tuner output, Sub output, FX loop and line input for external audio sources are all back. You'll also find Ashdown's acclaimed compressor that's operated by a single rotary knob. That's not all. It also features the Sub Harmonics Generator that plays the octave below whatever note you're playing—that's about as fat as you can get!

Très facile d'utilisation même s'il y a beaucoup de fonctions, rien n'est extrême et permet de bidouiller son son parfaitement.
Parfait !!!!
Très facile à utiliser malgré de moultes réglages.
Une grande bande passante, ce qui est aussi un plus pour certains effets sur une basse.
Un vrai amplificateur analogique avec tube, transistors ET un gros transfo torique. (Cà change des ampli classe D)
Coté look : J'adore... mais çà n'engage que moi.
A ce prix la, il ne faut pas hésiter.
